International Custody Disputes Comity of Courts – Welfare of the Child – Held, while respecting the doctrine of comity of courts, the best interests of the child take precedence – Directions issued by foreign courts are not binding if they are contrary to the welfare of the child – Courts must ensure no harm (physical, mental, or psychological) is caused to the child while determining custody.
