(A) Criminal P. C. (2 of 1974), S. 188 Offence committed outside India by Indian citizen- – Series of offences aris- ing out of same transaction – Some of which were committed within India and some outside India – Such offences could be taken cognizance of without previous sanction of Central Govern- ment, as envisaged in proviso to S. 188 Cr. P. C. However, trial cannot proceed beyond cognizance stage without previous sanction of Central Government. (Paras 10, 11)
